  1. 1. The reason why Jonas refuse to go home was because he felt disgusted about how his father killed the twin baby in the text it stated " Jonas looked up wildly. " No one heard that little twin cry, either. No one but my father!" he collapsed in sobs again." which completely shows he lost a little sympathy for his father for doing that. How the Giver comfort Jonas by telling he is able to stay a night with him and explained to him that its not his father fault its the way they are living fault and the simple fact that if Jonas was not picked to be the new Receiver he would of been doing the same. The plans that Giver and Jonas plan to hatch is to let Jonas escape from the community to elsewhere so his memories could be released on to the community. Honestly, I think that Jonas is going to make it but through all of it somebody is going to end up hurt.

    2. How the first "escape plan" proceed by Jonas lies to his parents about how his night was pleasant, He w studies the plan him and Giver went over all night, For the next 2 weeks Giver transfer courage and strength to Jonas, and Then in the middle of the night before ceremony Jonas secretly leaves his dwellings.

3.How the mood changed by the end of chapter 21 by Jonas felt he had to be protective of Gabriel because he over heard his father talking about he the Nurturers were wanted to release Gabe. Jonas was also Transmitting memories about snow to Gabriel every time they heard a plan if they were to hear engines they Jonas would hold Gabe and run to a different hiding spot.

    4. He really wasn't justified about his escape because he no longer wanted to leave when he was told Gabriel was getting release and so when they released Gabriel the text states that he longer cared about himself he as in Jonas.

  2. 1. The reason why Jonas refused to go home because he is kind a mad that his father killed one of the twins. In the text it states no one heard the twin cry but only his father did. The Giver comfort Jonas by telling him that it wasn't his father fault. Also, by letting him stay over for a night. The Giver was saying that it the way how they want them to be released and he have to do his job. They plan to escape from community to go to elsewhere so his memories could be released. In my opinion, I think it is not safe to do that because something can go wrong or someone can get hurt. Also, it takes a lot of work to do this.

2.The escape plan was all planed out. The Giver and Jonas went over that plan all night and they study to make sure the are going do it the right way. For two weeks The Giver had to transfer the strength, courage, and the power. In the middle of the night Jonas had leaves the ceremony secretly.

3.At the end of chapter 21 Jonas felt that he need to protect Gabe because he heard his father will release him. Every time they heard a plan he would give Gabe a memory of snow.

    4. Jonas had changed his mind about escape plan because he is worried about Gabe getting release. But, when they released Gabe he didn't care about himself no more because he didn't want this to happen. He feel hurt and sad.

  3. Joans refuses to go home because he did not want to be in the same place as his father was after seeing him kill a baby. The Giver metiulously alows Joans to stay with him. While staying there the Giver and Joans both hatch a plan to escape. The plan was for Joans to sneak out at night if any one asked he was on an errand for the giver. I belive this will work because both Joans and the Giver is empowered by their knowledge from the memories of the past.

The first part of the paln was for Joans to sneak out at night that was a big problem in the society because no one could leave their house at night. After he was out Joans would take any food in the communtiy so he could survive the night.sense had taken gabe to save him from release and he could not take The Giver car until the moring Joans had to take his father bike.He could not stop to see the Giver because he would risk release him self.Joans did not want to leave his good friends Asher and Fiona be hind as sad as it was he had to.

The mood changed from suspense of the planing and prepartion. Now the story twist it self into a thing where I need a bag of popcon just to read it.Joans takes gabe even though that was not part of the plan. However because of the memories he had and because he was about to be release joans saved him. This book is starting to make me guess what will happen next.

Joans is right in leaving the community for it is a place wih out feeling.A plce where people are in the dark and by the time they see the light it is to late. However what really frazzled me was this place does not have love. This place should have every one leaving it or better yet changing it.change sameness and every thing else in it.

2.the first part of the "escape plan" was for Jonas to sneak out at night which was a big problem because no one could leave their house at night.

  5. #1. Jonas refused to go home because he found out that his father is a killer. The giver tells him that he can stay with him that night because Jonas needed to be comfort. The plan Jonas and the Giver came up with is that they can escape/runaway so the memories can return to the people in the community. I think their plan will work because both Jonas and the Giver are smart enough to escape.

#2. The first part of their plan was for Jonas to sneak out of his house in the middle of night, also to bring food for him and Gabe can survive the nights. But thats against the rules of the society to leave the house in the middle of the night.

#3. The mood has changed by the end of chapter21 because Jonas feels that Gabe is safe because they was gonna release him. Jonas gave Gabe the memory of snow.

  6. 1) Jonas didn't want to go home because he found out that the babies that are released are killed by his father. The giver comforts Jonas by telling him that he can spend the night with him. The giver and Jonas plan to escape the community and the memories will go back to the people that it belonged to. I dont think its going to work because when time passes they are going to start questioning the giver about where is Jonas.

    2) The part of the plan was that Jonas was to sneak out of the house in the middle of the night. He had to bring food for him and Gabe to eat and survive. He had took Gabe with him to save him from release. Since it would be obvious escaping with the givers car Jonas had to take his fathers bike.

    3) The mood changed by the end of chapter 21 because Jonas had to protect Gabe more than ever now that they planned to escape. Also if Jonas gets caught then he knows that he will get chastised by the community.

    4) Since Jonas didn't want Gabe to be released from the community he had to change his mind about escaping.

  7. 1. he refuse to go home cause of what his father did to the child. The giver comfort jonas by telling that he can stay here for the night. They said if they run away they can give the memories can go back to the people in the community. I dont think so because if they try to escape they just die in the water and they will need a boat to get out of the commuinty.

    2. The first part was that jonas was going to sneak out and get food for him and the giver and gabe.

    3. The mood changed by him talking to the giver and said that i think gabe is safe now.

    4. He changed because he did not want gabe to die/or get released.

  8. 1. Jonas refuses to go home because he is mad at his father because all this time his father been killing the old and newborn babies. The giver comforts jonas by telling him that he can stay the night. The plan that jonas and the giver has hatched is that jonas is going to leave the community. I think their plan is tricky and dangerous but the way they sorted it out it will work .

    2. The first part of the "escape plan" is that the giver would transfer every memory of courage and strength that he could to jonas. He would need those to help him find the elsewhere that they were both sure existed.

    3. The mood changed by the end of chapter 21 because jonas is concerned about gabriel because he over heard his father talking about releasing gabriel and since he now knows what that actually means he wants to protect him from doing so.

    4. Jonas had changed his mind about leaving because when he over heard his father talking about releasing gabriel he refused to leave he didn't want gabriel to be released. When gabriel was released he now didn't care about himself or the plan.

  9. jonas refused to go home was because he was depressed that he now knows what release really is. they dont really go elsewhere they get killed by the "nurterer". the giver comforts him by letting jonas stay over at his house for the night. the plan that they want to hatch is that they should leave the community so the memories would be released. i think that this idea is a matter of punishment for the chief elder.

they studied the escape plan for two weeks and then before the ceremony he escapes from his dwelling. the giver gives jonas strength and courage to be able to carry on this task.

jonas mood changed because he knew that his father was going to release little gabe so he felt like it was his job to protect gabe because he also knew that all of his memories will be released. so he kind of changes the plan by taking gabe with them.

jonas changed his mind about leaving the community after knowing that gabe was released. now he didnt care about anything but gabe. now he refused to let the plan proceed.

  11. 1.Jonas' Refuses to go home because he was angry at his father because he killed the baby that was small than other one. Now he knew was realease ment to the community, what a horro. The giver comforts jonas by telling him that he can stay tonight at the Annex. The plan was that joans' is going to escape out of the community but The giver wasn't sure about that but they both agree. I Think their plan will work because The giver gived Joanas' memmories of bravery and courage. They are doing this so the community can learn to control all kinds of memmories without the Riecever or The Giver's help.

    2. The first part of the "escape plan" was that the giver gived Joanas' memmories about courage and strength to help with his escape. Then Hide some materials in an bush next to the bridge he was going to escape threw at night with Gabe.

    3. The mood changed by the end of Chapter 21 because Jonas' is worried about Gabe they were both tired and hungry and had all ran out of food. The worst part was that airplanes were try to find them and they had headseaking cameras to search beacause the pilots were color blind too. Every time they saw one Jonas' transfered a memory of snow to each so they could not be spotted by heatseaking cameras.

    4. Jonas had changed his mind about leaving the community because when he over heard his father talking about releasing Gabriel he descided he must leave with Gabe because he knows what is realeasing and that he does not want that for Gabe. He is not giving up he will procced on his escape no matter what.

  12. 1) Jonas refuses to go home. He spends the night in The Giver’s room. Jonas asks The Giver if he too has lied to him, and The Giver tells Jonas he has not. The plan of jonas and the giver was Jonas will escape from the community, so that all of his memories will return to the people of the community. Jonas begs The Giver to escape with him, but The Giver refuses, saying he is too old and weak, and that he will be needed to help the people cope with the painful memories left behind.
    2) It did not proceed good beacause the Giver tells Jonas he is not able to see colors anymore because he has given them all to Jonas.
    3) The mood changed by the end from Jonas and the Giver good plan to run alway to Jonas runing with Gabriel because Jonas refuses to let Gabriel be killed.
4)Jonas' escape was justified because he saved Gabriel life and if they know Jonas was the receiver then Jonas would be kill. I think that is not right because he just wanted to save Gabriel life.
